I would have to imagine that if we are ever bought out by one of the huge pc conglomerates that, that will be the end of our selling custom built pc's.

 I contacted Dell but they were closing their small shop and moving in to a big factory. At that time Mr. Dell was actually a person that you could talk to. He suggested that I build my own custom computer, since they would not have the time to make one for me.

I explained that at my age at the time, that it would be a bit late to go to school to learn how to build a pc, not to mention the cost of the collage it self.

It was HIS idea that I get a job for a company such as Microsoft where I could get free on the job training to build my own computer, then when I got proficient enough to simply quite the job and start my own pc company.

About 1 year ago Dell who had now bought AlienWare contacted my company through their attorneys with a vary small buy out offer that would actually be considered a vary bad joke.

Of course we had to retain a corporate council as well, and as luck would have it I opened my doors for the first time about 1 year before AlienWare had applied and gotten their trademark. Not that my company’s name sounds any thing like theirs, but of course Dell did complain and try to force us out of business.

Since then we have not heard back from them, so the choice is still yours to purchase a custom computer or not.
